Dalvik Godafoss

We set off under light cloudy skies not on the planned Ring road 1 route instead we chose the coastal road going to see Whales but we were not lucky. After going through the small very picturesque fishing village Dalvik we visited Godafoss - the best known waterfall in Iceland. We carried on past  the lake Myvatnsee - both a bird and fly paradise - to our hotel which was in the middle of nowhere about 15km from Husavik. By now there were hardly any clouds in the sky and decided to enjoy the sunset over the sea. Trouble was the sun doesn't set until almost midnight even then it doesn't go dark!
