Am 15. Tag zeigte sich das Wetter wiederum von seiner besten Seite, denn es war fast wolkenlos. Der Tag, an dem wir hofften, Killer Wale oder anders gesagt Orcas, zu sehen. Um halb zehn war Besammlung im Laden des Veranstalters. Wir waren 31 Personen auf einer 84 Personen fassenden Motoryacht. So nach etwa 30 Minuten sichteten wir die ersten Orcas. Da wir etwas weiter weg von den Walen waren, machte sich ein Teleobjektiv sehr nützlich. Weiter bei einem Leuchtturrn gab es viele Seelöwen zu bestaunen, welche faul an der Sonne lagen! Auf der Rückfahrt gab es nochmals ein paar Wale die vorbei kamen. So nach drei Stunden erreichten wir wieder den Hafen von Victoria. Anschliessen marschierten wir zum Fisherman’s Wharf zu den besten Fish & Chips. Nach den Essen shoppten wir noch etwas in Victoria und besichtigten die Stadt und den Old Town.

We woke yet again to clear skies – the one day we had really hoped for good weather At 9:30 we met up with the rest of the people for our trip to see (hopefully) Killer Whales or Orcas. There are no reports of Orcas killing people – they are not even remotely interested in us – apparently we have not enough fat. We were 31 people on a Motor Yacht with 84 places – so we had more than enough room to move about. After 30 minutes we saw the first Orcas. On a lighthouse island we saw hundreds of seals and sea lions lying around in the sun. On our return journey we saw more whales hunting – quite an amazing sight. On dry land again we walked to Fisherman’s Wharf to the best Fish and Chips in Victoria – or so we were told. Whatever – they were excellent and judging by the queue they must be the best! Afterwards we walked through the shops in down town.
