Am heutigen Tag ging es etwas zurück in die Eiszeit. Wir besuchten den Dinosaurier Prov. Park etwas nördlich-östlich von Brooks. Wir machten da zwei klein Wandertrails für unsere Fitness und für das Allgemeinwissen. Weiter fuhren wir nach Drumheller dem Dinomekka, denn fast an jeder Kreuzung ist ein Dino zu sehen. Von Drumheller aus fuhren wir den Hoodoos-Trail, der uns nach Rosedale führte, wo eine berühmte Hängebrücke ist, welche wir auch überquerten. Natürlich machten wir das zu Fuss !!! Weiter ins Tal kamen wir dann zu den Natur-Skulpturen, den Erdpyramiden, auch Hoodoos genannt. Weiter auf dem Hoodoo Drive gab es noch eine alte Miene zu sehen. Auf dem Weg zu unserem heutigen Ziel Red Deer, bewunderten wir noch den Horse-Shoe Canyon. Es ist der kleine Grand Canyon von Kanada. So gegen 18.00 Uhr bezogen wir wieder mal ein Super 8 Motel in Red Deer.

Today we went back in time to the ice age. We visited the Dinosaur Provincial Park north of Brooks.  There we went on two short walks. Then it was on to Drumheller the dinosaur mecca, almost every junction in the town has a dinosaur statue! From Drumheller we investigated the curious Hoodoos – weather worn natural structures caused by the different layers of rock.  In Rosedale we walked across the famous hanging bridge used by the miners before we were even born. There is also an old mine workings to visit. On the way to Red Deer we visited the Horse-Shoe Canyon – the small Grand Canyon of Canada.  We reached our motel in Red Deer at about 18:00
