As neither of us are big city fans we left Palermo after breakfast. Our next stop was Enna and there is not much to see on the road from Palermo so we decided to take the motorway. Enna is a small town high up on a hill. There is castle several churches and many narrow streets to visit. From the castle you can see all over Sicily. Wonderful views. Von Enna we took the motorway again along the north coast to Cefalu. Our B&B was in the middle of the pedestrian zone and no parking places. However there was a free shuttle to the harbour and back where we could park – also free. Cefalu is a small town on the coast with lots of shops, bars and restaurants with a sandy beach and one of the best holiday resorts on Sicily.
