Heute war noch das letzte Teilstück unserer Reise mit dem Auto zurück zu legen und zwar die Fahrt von Las Vegas nach Los Angeles. Wir checkten aus, holten unseren Wagen und fuhren los Richtung Insterstate 15. Nach etwa 45 Minuten Fahrt, machten wir Halt in Pimm für ein Frühstück. Die Fahrt auf der Interstate war etwas so langweilig wie die Gegend, denn es gab da eigentlich nichts Besonderes anzuschauen. Also entschieden wir uns bald möglichst in Hollywood zu sein, wo wir unser Motel hatten. In Barstow machten wir noch Halt um zu Tanken und für einen kleinen Imbiss. Gegen 15.00 Uhr erreichten wir Hollywood ohne Stau. Das Wetter war super und nicht mehr so heiss wie in Las Vegas. Wir checkten ein und gingen mit der Metro zum Hollywood Blvd. Hollywood hat viele “schräge” Vögel und auch viele Obdachlose, was leider nicht so ins Bild basst, wenn man von Hollywood spricht. Auch waren wir am Abend nochmal da um das Ganze zu sehen mit den Lichtern - nicht zu vergleichen mit Las Vegas.

Today we set off on the last part of our trip from Las Vegas to Los Angeles. After checking out (at a machine - we never spoke to any of the staff here as the check in was also at a machine!) we collected our car took the Interstate 15 and left Sin City behind us. After 45 minutes drive we stopped at Pimm for breakfast. The drive was not very eventful and almost as boring as the scenery except there was so much traffic we had to concentrate! We decided to go straight to Hollywood as there was not much to do on the way. We stopped off in Barstow for lunch and filled up with fuel. Around 3.00pm we reached our motel in Hollywood and despite the traffic with no traffic jams. As the weather was so good we checked in and then took the Metro to the Hollywood Boulevard. The are a lot of strange characters here and too many homeless on the streets. We returned to the Boulevard for dinner and a look at the neon displays - not to be compared with those in Las Vegas.
