Was für ein Sonnenaufgang in den Blue Mountains. Anschliessend gab es ein Frühstück im Freien. Koffer gepackt, Auto bereit und los ging die Fahrt den Berg hinunter in Richtung Kingston und weiter nach Osten der Küste entlang zu unserem heutigen Ziel Port Antonio. Wir fuhren auf der Hauptstrasse A4 und doch kam es vor als würden wir zu Hause durch den Wald oder eine Kiesgrube fahren. Die Fahrt führte uns durch viele kleine Dörfer, tief grüne Landschaften und schöne Küstengebiete. Auf halbem Weg machten wir einen Abstecher zu den Reach Falls um ein kühles Bad zu nehmen. Ein Guide führte uns dahin und dann flussaufwärts durch das türkisblaue Wasser. Es ging durch kleine Höhlen und ein paar Sprünge von den Felsen. Ein tolles Erlebnis im kühlen Nass. Später machten wir noch Halt am Strassenrand um was Kleines zu essen. Wie immer gut und sehr günstig. Später fuhren wir vor dem Jamaica Palace Hotel in Port Antonio vor. Das Hotel ist sehr nobel und bis lang auch das Beste.

After a cool night, - it was 15C in our room at 6 this morning, we saw a beautiful sunrise and enjoyed our breakfast on the terrace then headed off back down the long and bumpy road to Kingston. From Kingston we took the main A4 coast road round the eastern point of Jamaica. Although this is a main road it is still full of pot holes! We passed through several small towns but there is not much to see. Along the way we passed by several sugar plantations. The countryside is very lush and green. Late morning we arrived at Reach Falls. Here for a $10 (US) entrance fee a guide takes you down to the falls and on a tour (if you wish) over and through them. Very pleasant an refreshing swim.  round the coast we arrived at our hotel for the night just south of Port Antonio.
