Von heute an hiess es Autofahren, wie die kommenden Tage. Von Washington aus in Richtung Osten und dann nach Süden. Ein kurzer Stopp lohnt sich in Annapolis, die kleine Hauptstadt von Maryland. Weiter östlich ist auf einer Halbinsel der Badeort Ocean City. Der Ort ist noch wie ausgestorben, doch hatten wir hier den langersehnten Sonnenschein und auch angenehme Temperaturen. Etwas weiter erreichten wir unser Motel in Pocomoke City. Es ist ein kleines Nest, so dass man es auf der Karte schon fast nicht findet.

Today we set off from Washington towards Pocomoke City. We stopped off at Annapolis on the way – a small town with a Naval College and the capitol of Maryland. The town is very pretty and worth a visit. We saw the sunshine for the first time and hopefully the start of warmer weather. Further on we visited Ocean City – a summer town – at the moment most of it is still closed after the winter. Pocomoke City is a very small town – but sufficient for a nights stop over !
