Heute hiess es früh aus den Federn, denn wir hatten was Besonderes auf dem Programm. Nach dem Frühstück im Motel, fuhren wir um 07.00 Uhr ab. Wir fuhren nach Long Beach und weiter nach Staten Island. Zu unserer Überraschung alles ohne Stau währen der Rushhour. Wir parkten unseren Wagen und fuhren mit der Metro nach St.George. PS: Der Parkplatz bei der Metro in Dogan Hill war gratis! Wir fuhren mit der Staten Island Ferry nach Manhattan und wieder zurück, welche auch gratis war. Von hier aus hatte man die beste Sicht auf die Statue of Liberty und die Skyline von Manhattan. Das Wetter konnte nicht besser sein. In ein paar Tagen sind wir dann etwas länger in New York. Gegen Mittag fuhren wir dann weiter südlich der auf der Küstenstrasse nach Atlantic City. Dies ist das kleine Las Vegas im Oster der USA. Gegen 18.00 Uhr trafen wir dann in Wildwood ein, wo wie im Motel SeaGull übernachteten.

Up early and breakfast in the motel, then on the road by 7am as we had a special programme today as the weather had improved. We drove along Long Beach and over the bridges to Staten Island. Amazingly without any traffic jams even though it was rush hour. We parked the car in a free car park at Dugan Hill metro station and took the train to St. George where we took the Staten Island ferry across to Manhattan and back. The ferry is free so we only had to pay the train fare. From the ferry there are some good views of the skyline from Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty. The weather couldn’t have been better. Towards lunchtime we carried on our drive towards Atlantic City. This is the small Las Vegas on the east coast. At about 6 pm we arrived in Wildwood and the Seagull Motel for the night.
